Christie’s will offer a twin-stone diamond ring by designer Reza with a high estimate of CHF 12 million ($12.6 million) at its Geneva Magnificent Jewels auction.

The piece features a 5.34-carat, fancy-vivid-blue, internally flawless diamond and a 5.37-carat, D-color, internally flawless stone. It will head up the July 22 sale, Christie’s said Tuesday.

The Geneva auction was originally due to take place in May, and was later rescheduled to June 1 amid the coronavirus pandemic, which shut businesses and travel for more than two months. The sale will follow the July 9 Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels auction, which is the company’s first live jewelry auction since the outbreak.

Another prominent lot featured in the Geneva sale is a shield mixed-cut, 100.85-carat, D-color, internally flawless, type IIa diamond that is expected to fetch CHF 3.5 million to CHF 4.5 million ($3.7 million to $4.7 million). A 104.04-carat, fancy-intense-yellow diamond is also on offer, carrying a presale estimate of CHF 2.5 million to CHF 3.5 million ($2.6 million to $3.7 million).

Christie’s also plans to hold a live New York Magnificent Jewels sale on July 29. The auction, which was originally slated for April and later postponed to June 11, will feature a 115.83-carat, F-color, VVS1-clarity diamond pendant necklace. The jewel is estimated at $5 million to $7 million.

Other notable items set to go under the hammer in New York include a cushion-cut, 53.48-carat sapphire ring valued at $500,000 to $700,000, and an oval-shaped, 35.77-carat emerald ring with a price of $300,000 to $500,000.

Christie’s will also hold a live jewelry auction in Paris on July 8, and in London on July 30, as well as four online sales over the next two months.

Sotheby’s plans to present its Geneva Magnificent Jewels sale on June 23, while its Hong Kong auction is set for July 10. It has not yet announced a date for its New York Magnificent Jewels sale.
