RAPAPORT... The Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) has appointed Belgian diamantaire David Gotlib as president, succeeding Chaim Pluczenik.

Gotlib is the founder of luxury goods and jewelry retailer IDRP Group as well as his own eponymous jewelry brand. He is also the president of the Antwerp Diamond Bourse, the AWDC said Monday. He has served on the AWDC’s board of directors since 2020.

Meanwhile, Sahag Arslanian, managing director of the Arslanian Group, and Amish Jain, owner of NN Diamonds, have been elected as vice presidents. Victor Gabel, who represents the Antwerp Diamond Bourse, will join the board.

“Mr. Gotlib, Mr. Arslanian and Mr. Jain can count on the support of the entire AWDC team,” said AWDC CEO Ari Epstein. “They all have formidable experience in the diamond industry, and I’m convinced that under their guidance and leadership, Antwerp will thrive in the coming years.”
