Moral Clarity in the Diamond Industry
A Special Report by Martin Rapaport

In this special report, Martin Rapaport calls for greater moral clarity in the diamond
industry. The report focuses on human rights abuses occurring in Zimbabwe and points
out that Zimbabwean diamonds are subject to OFAC regulations prohibiting their purchase
by US businesses. The report calls on the WDC (World Diamond Council) and the JVC
(Jewelers Vigilance Committee) to take stronger steps to combat human rights abuses
in Zimbabwe and presents an action plan for the Diamond and Jewelry industry to
prevent the sale of diamonds associated with human rights abuses.
