RAPAPORT... The inimitable Aire, aka “The Iceman,” has added the Chris Aire Inner Circle Black Watch to his collection. Featuring black diamonds, and crafted in Switzerland, this new addition to his line is already a hit with his celebrity clientele.

More and more same-sex couples are taking the big step, and Fabrikant-Tara International is there to help with its LVOE jewelry. Three collections — LVOE Solitaires, LVOE Diamond Bands and LVOE Color Bands — create a line that reflects the company slogan “Love Has No Bounds.” There are 42 unisex, trend-forward styles that feature diamonds, black diamonds or lab-created alexandrite.

Italian flair at an affordable price is what Armadani is offering with its new collection of diamond and sterling silver jewelry. The line also features a collection of diamond-accented watches. The collection subtly incorporates its signature “A” as a design element in many of its pieces for a look that is contemporary and artful.

The Jewelry Information Center (JIC) recently held its annual Editor’s Lunch at Opia in New York City in an effort to keep jewelry in front of editors of all the major consumer magazines. The event was sponsored by Cultured Pearl Association of America, Natural Color Diamond Association, Palladium Alliance International and World Gold Council. Trendsetting jewelry was on display and experts were available to answer questions from 70 editors of the most jewelry-friendly publications, including Vogue, InStyle and Bride. Models strolled through the luncheon showing jewelry from 15 members of the JIC. Helena Krodel, JIC media manager, reinforced the center’s public relations mission as a resource for the media’s jewelry needs.

Inspired by the movement of children’s toys and the gemstones of Brazil, jewelry designer Yael Sonia has opened an eponymous boutique in New York City at 922 Madison Avenue at 73rd Street. A graduate of
Parsons School of Design, Sonia’s work has been exhibited in shows and galleries throughout Europe and the United States. Born in New York and raised in Brazil, Sonia creates her bold designs in her Sao Paulo, Brazil, studio.

The right fit all the time: That’s what you get with Superfit, the patented custom-fit ring. Utilizing an invisible hinged design, Superfit makes fitting a ring more accurate and eliminates slipping, turning and twisting. Using a special sizer, the ring is sized to the base of the finger rather than being sized to slip past the larger knuckle area. Instead of sliding on, the ring snaps on with a “click of confidence” that keeps the ring securely in place. The firm, known for its shanks, is now offering its line as finished jewelry for those hard-to-fit digits — pinkies, toes, thumbs and everything in between — all twinkling with diamonds.
