SPECIALIZATION: Polished diamond grading certification and jewelry reports. Lab is officially accredited according to the standard NBN EN NEN/ISO 17025 (BELAC Certificate 039-TEST). The certificates conform to the International Diamond Council (IDC) rules for grading polished diamonds, approved by the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA).
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: HRD Antwerp diamond microscopes (D-Scope), D-screen, Lumisense color measuring, Hearts & Arrows by HRD Antwerp®, Sarin DiaMension, DiamondSure and DiamondView.
SERVICES OFFERED: Extensive range of preliminary and extra partial examinations to meet client needs. Optional services are Hearts & Arrows by HRD Antwerp®, laser inscription and sealing. For urgent processing, a one-day service is available. The HRD Antwerp certificate link connects directly to extensive database, where ISO-certified details are retained for ten years.
PRODUCTS OFFERED:
• Diamond certificate includes plot, shape, the 4Cs and the date; supplemented by remarks, if applicable.
• Diamond identification report contains information identical to the diamond certificate minus the plot. Available for diamonds up to 1 carat.
• Diamond color certificate describes diamond’s color characteristics and the short- and long-wave. Available for colored diamonds meeting certain requirements.
• Treated diamond certificate for HPHT-treated diamonds contains identical information to the diamond certificate with specific mention that the color of the diamond has been changed by HPHT treatment. The certificate jacket-cover is printed in a color that is distinctive from the diamond certificate.
• Synthetic diamond certificate clearly indicates that the diamond is a synthetic diamond and describes color and clarity grades. The certificate jacket-cover also is printed in a color that is distinctive from the diamond certificate.
• Gemstone report scientifically describes a natural, transparent and loose gemstone and includes identification (ruby, sapphire, emerald, etc.), weight, dimensions, cut, description of the color and transparency and the date; supplemented by comments (treatments, external damages, special phenomena) if applicable.
• Jewelry report describes the jewelry item, including the total weight of diamonds, a detailed description of the diamonds’ 4Cs and the type of setting. Each report includes a high-quality photograph. Other information about the piece (i.e., designer, collection) can be added. The report is available in two sizes: a compact size for pieces with total diamond weight less than .99 carats and a large report for items with total diamond weight greater than .99 carats.
