SPECIALIZATION: In addition to full reports for all diamonds and gemstones, lab offers a minireport on mounted diamonds and tanzanites. All stones are screened to ensure they are natural and that any treatments are disclosed as required. AnchorCert is a totally independent body, which does not trade and has no vested interest in the certificates and reports it issues. Certificates are provided by gemologists and diamond graders from its Centre of Excellence in Birmingham. AnchorCert is the first UK diamond certification service to receive UKAS accreditation to ISO 17025, validating its competency and consistency at an international level.SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Equipped to identify and certify all diamonds, colored gemstones and pearls, with a full battery of equipment to detect and identify synthetics, treatments and other enhancements. Equipment includes DiamondSure, DiamondView, FTIR spectroscope, UV-Vis and Raman spectroscope with three lasers — 514.50nm (green), 632.81nm (red) and 457.97 nm (blue). REPORTS: Diamond reports offer digital image, weight, measurements and color and clarity grade of the diamond. Full reports describe weight, color, clarity and cut grades, symmetry and proportions of the diamond. Colored diamond report describes color origin and grade of fancy color diamonds. Gem identification report describes identity of colored stones, including, if applicable, heat treatment, extent of filler treatment and country of origin. Pearl identification report describes whether pearl is natural or cultured and whether treated.EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: A comprehensive range of practical diamond and gemstone courses, along with scrap gold and silver training and hallmarking courses. Bespoke training available, as well as research and consultancy for all precious metals and jewelry related.
