ear cuffs and huggies — has been displaced by the next big thing: supersize
earrings. A pair of generously proportioned earrings never looks like an
afterthought. Statement earrings are ready-made for dressed-up, festive
occasions and give casual clothing a more sophisticated attitude. Their styles
may vary, from sculptural hoops to ear climbers and chandeliers, but a “bigger
is better” ethos is what unites the most striking earring designs of the
moment. And they’re just as easy to admire across a crowded room as in an Instagram
selfie, which is no small thing.
