RAPAPORT... Tokyo's trendy Shinjiku district is going to be the future home of a new Tiffany & Co. store devoted exclusively to men, the company announced in a press release May 29, 2007.

The new boutique, "Tiffany & Co. The Men's Store" will be located in the first floor of the district's famous Isetan Department Store and will focus exclusively on jewelry and accessories for men. The New York-based jeweler will also introduce new pieces specifically for the all-male store, including a new collection featuring the Tiffany Lucida diamond in a white gold setting. Designs from Paloma Picasso, Elsa Peretti, Jean Schlumberger, and Frank Gehry are expected to fill the boutique, as well as an impressive array of watches and accessories.

"We are pleased to debut the first Tiffany & Co. Store for Men in Japan and can think of a no more perfect location than the trend-setting Isetan Men's Store," said Mike Christ president of Tiffany Japan. "Tiffany & Co. has a long history of offering men the most sophisticated accessories and we see this new opportunity as a further evolution of that tradition."

This marks the fourth new store announced in May 2007. Tiffany had announced three other stores scheduled to open this year: One in Santa Barbara, California; one in Providence, Rhode Island; and one in London, making that store the fifth in the city.
