RAPAPORT... De Beers Canada determined that production at its Victor mine could begin six months earlier than previously expected.
The Victor mine, which is located in Ontario, now looks to produce its first diamonds as early as the first quarter of 2008 rather than third quarter.
When full production commences at Victor, De Beers anticipates delivering on 600,000 carats per year.
