RAPAPORT... Mayors Jewelers  signed-on Irma Martinez as its new style expert.  Martinez, pictured, will act as spokesperson and fashion reference for Mayors Jewelers in Florida, providing advice on selecting the right pieces of jewelry and building a jewelry wardrobe.

''We wanted to work with Irma Martinez, because she is the ultimate style reference in the southeastern U.S. market and Latin America where she has been helping numerous stars and celebrities make stylish choices for over two decades," said Thomas A. Andruskevich, the president of Birks & Mayors Inc. "Consumers now look at jewelry from a fashion perspective and Irma is well equipped to provide expert advice on putting together amazing looks with just the right pieces of fine jewelry. We are delighted to have Irma become part of the Mayors team," he concluded.

Martinez explained, "Mayors is the reference in our market when it comes to luxury jewelry -- their product selection is outstanding and they attract a smart and stylish clientele. I look forward to working with the Mayors team on providing styling advice to their clients and partners."

Martinez worked with Mayors on developing the ''10 Jewellery Essentials,'' the jewelry equivalent to a perfect pair of jeans or little black dress,  from hoop earrings to a cocktail ring and a long strand of pearls. She has also identified her ''10 Favorites'' list among Mayors' jewelry collections.
