RAPAPORT... Diamonds International was named title sponsor for the third annual ''Taste of Playa,'' the Mexican Riviera Maya's premier culinary festival. The Diamonds International Taste of Playa will be held on November 20, 2011 in Parque Fundadores on the shores of Mexico's Caribbean.  Taste of Playa will offer a wide variety of cuisines from 40 different restaurants along the Riviera Maya. Organizers expect 7,000 visitors to this event, which is designed to celebrate the creativity and diversity of chefs throughout the region.

"We are absolutely thrilled that Diamonds International will head our list of event sponsors this year," said the event's chair, Monica Hartlief. "Diamonds International is truly an icon in the world of fine jewelry. Their name evokes a sense of high quality and service and we feel that their support as title sponsor will contribute in making Taste of Playa the international destination event that we have always envisioned.''

A portion of event proceeds will be used to assist a not-for-profit food or clean water program in the area. The goal of the committee is to help develop and sustain community based initiatives that have a positive effect on the residents of Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya.
