Press Release: SAWCUT, part of OGI Systems Group –- the world leader in technological solutions to the global diamonds industry, has recently integrated an innovative SPD technology in the SawCut diamond sawing system.

This innovative system was developed in the company's labs for several years and in cooperation with rough diamond sightholder companies. The SPD technology allows for sawing of Polaris diamonds with internal tension in a safe manner while minimizing sawing waste.

The research and development process included sawing hundreds of stones to ensure optimal results. An emphasis was placed on the ability to saw diamonds with internal tension in maximum protection, minimum waste percentage and a most smooth sawing surface. The results place this system one step above the systems currently available in the market.

The system includes unique software, which allows the diamond dealer to saw stones in many different ways. Examples of these optional ways are: a mass cassette for sawing 36 stones at once, a cassette for sawing of different shapes and a double-sided cassette for minimizing waste. The interface of the software was designed in a user-friendly form and in several international languages.

According to OGI Systems Group's marketing director, Lior Modlin, this is a breakthrough in sawing technology, which allows users to increase the utilization of each and every stone and maximize their profitability.
