Yvel's ABSchool of jewelry making in Jerusalem  helps and empowers Ethiopian students to learn the trade and design jewelry. Now, the company employs a first round of the school's graduates at its manufacturing center.  In this video from the Jovella show in Tel Aviv earlier this month, Yvel hosted an exhibition of the student's work that was all created at the company's design center. Pieces included the the Genesis (''Majmaria'' in Amharic) collection of  pendants, earrings, bracelets and rings. Each of the designs incorporates a special message in Amharic, sometimes hidden on the inside or the back of the piece. The Yvel Design Studio was founded in 1986 by Isaac and Orna Levy, and continues a century-old family tradition of creating exquisite, high-end jewelry. yvel learning jewelry making
