Press Release: In May 2012, the Luxeford auction house moved onto the Hong Kong auction scene. After our initial success we are proud to announce our upcoming fine jewels sale to be held at the luxurious Renaissance Harbour View hotel in Hong Kong. Bringing together the finest and most elegant Jewels from around the world, our collection of the most beautiful premiere jewels includes:

A magnificent pear-shaped diamond pendant of 10.12 carats, E, VVS1, with a presales estimate at $928,829, (HKD 7.2 million).

An important collection of various-cuts of very fine quality diamond pairs – round, oval and step-cut, the highlight of this fine collection rests on a pair of unmounted pear-shaped D-IF, type IIa diamonds; and a pair of heart-shaped diamond ear studs, 5.07-carat and 5.58-carat, D, VS1 and E, VVS1 clarity, with an estimated valued of $722,422 (HKD 5.5 million). Pairs of either kind have been seen very rarely in auctions recently.

A stunning pair of natural pearl drop earrings with an estimated value of $361,211 (HKD 2.8 million). Because of the rare nature of natural pearl drops, only a few can be selected to become matching pairs, measuring 10.41 x 10.56 x 18.73mm and 10.30 x 10.50 x 17.84mm; a connoisseur would never pass-up an opportunity to bid for these precious items.

The astute collector will be drawn to a particularly good, important Colombian emerald and diamond ring. The untreated step-cut 6.55-carat emerald is valued at $167,705 (HKD 1.3 million).

Circa 1915, from a dynamic century, a natural pearl, onyx and diamond tiara, valued at $51,602 (HKD 400,000); of Hellenistic-bandeau style, in very good condition and carrying a grace and serenity that contrasts with modern times. A high dome Mexican white opal and diamond ring weighing 24.37 carats with lovely play of color, which has an estimated value of $51,602 (HKD 400,000).

Our Eastern jewels and jadeite are just as impressive. Auspicious imagery, craftsmanship and beautiful design, are associated with an important jadeite and diamond pendant. A plaque of vivid emerald green, with bats, coins and ling-zhi for fortune and longevity and a magpie and plum-blossom for happiness, carved in exquisite detail. This piece is a must for the jadeite collector with color, translucency and thickness to make it truly desirable. It measures 45.55 x 21.90 x 7.32 mm and has an estimated value of $283,808 (HKD 2.2 million).

Ancient style meets modern chic in a jadeite bead necklace of beautiful bright green jadeite, rich red rubies and stylish black onyx; accented with occasional diamond settings. This impressive 114.67 cm long necklace has an estimated value of $232,207 (HKD 1.8 million).

A sweet colored oval-shaped cabochon jadeite and diamond ring, in amazing royal green color, the cabochon measures 21.05 x 14.70 x 4.50 mm and the piece has an estimated value $175,155 (HKD 1.4 million).

A fine-looking piece in this auction is an important jadeite dragon pendant, depicting a sinuous splendid dragon round a large fireball-pearl of fine carving. This piece of beautiful icy jadeite is suffused with subtle lavender hue and its translucency is of crystalline clarity. It measures 55.25 x 55.78 x 12.28 mm and its estimated value is $154,805 (HKD 1.2 million.)
