RAPAPORT... Forevermark, the diamond brand from the De Beers Group,  expanded its reach in India through new partnerships in Ahmedabad and Vadodara of Gujarat state.

“We are delighted to launch in Ahmedabad, a market that is of significant importance to us,” said Sachin Jain, the managing director of Forevermark India. “The Gujarati passion for diamonds is well-known and hence we’re glad to be able to introduce what we believe will become the ultimate diamond brand to this lively and vibrant city.”

Forevermark has partnered with Arvindbhai Bechardas Jewellers, Arunbhai Maneklal Jhaveri & Sons and Kabra Jewels Private Ltd. in Ahmedabad, the company stated.

TV and Bollywood actress Aamna Sharif (pictured) unveiled the diamond pieces in Vadodara at the Forevermark Promise Exhibition. “Today’s woman prefers a perfect blend of traditional and modern designs and I believe Forevermark jewelry matches the sensibility of the modern Indian woman,” she said.

The company has partnered with Damodardas Jewellers and Narayan jewelers in Vadodara. Jain added, “We are pleased to partner with them for their mutual passion for diamonds and their expertise and popularity in creating beautiful and popular designs both in contemporary and traditional jewelry.”

De Beers launched Forevermark in May 2008 in an attempt to further penetrate the diamond retail market by allowing jewelry retailers and diamantaires to partner with the brand. The brand was launched in India in the southern city of Bengaluru in January 2011 and since then, it has expanded  into more than 15 cities across the country. Forevermark aims to reach 35 Indian cities in the coming years.
