Press Release: Gemesis today announced that Stephen D. Lux has stepped down as the company’s chief executive officer. The director of marketing, Martin DeRoy, said,  “We at Gemesis are operating business as usual and would like to wish Steve all the best for the future.”

He added, “2012 has been a very exciting year of growth and learning for Gemesis. We have aligned our operations and increased marketing following a wonderful response from consumers for lab-grown diamonds.”

A prime example of consumer affinity for Gemesis lab-created diamonds and jewelry is its active, and continually growing, Facebook fan base.  Since launching its page this past spring, Gemesis has acquired more than 75,000 fans.

In addition, high-profile consumer press has also taken note of Gemesis. Hot on the heels of the Gemesis Solstice Pendant --a round, brilliant yellow center surrounded by a halo of pavé set colorless lab-created diamonds-- being selected by one of TV’s top-rated talk show hosts as a hot holiday gift, the Gemesis Princess Adorned Ring was featured by TheKnot.com.

Following Kelly Clarkson’s yellow diamond engagement ring news, TheKnot cited the Gemesis Princess Adorned Ring as a way to get Clarkson's look via its “vintage-style setting that showcases a dazzling man-made diamond center.”

Earlier in the season, in November,  the Gemesis Noble Princess Ring was also featured by TheKnot.com as one of the site’s “8 Favorite Princess Cut Diamond Engagement Rings.”

DeRoy concluded, “We are encouraged by the results we see and believe the future only holds more exciting news and developments.”
