Press Release: On February 25, Jewelers for Children (JFC) will host an inaugural New York City evening of food, drink, entertainment and fundraising at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. With both a live and silent auction, which will include numerous jewelry, fashion and lifestyle items, the “JFC Celebrates New York City” event is positioned to raise funds for the numerous charities to which it contributes: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Make A Wish America and CASA.

“The primary reason for hosting an event in New York City is to say ‘thank you’ to our generous sponsors for their generosity throughout the years,” explained David Rocha, JFC’s executive director. “The added element of silent and live auctions will give attendees an opportunity to take home some incredible items while also benefiting our charity partners.”

During the live auction, items from companies that include John Hardy, Judith Ripka, Honora, Scott Kay, Ashley & Emily and Michael Dawkins, will be auctioned off. In addition to donating a package of goods and services to the silent auction, Antiquorum’s Michael Friedman will be conducting the live auction.

A silent auction will start on Sunday morning, February 24, at the JA New York show and will conclude at the event. The final few hours of bidding will take place at The Lighthouse where attendees can score items from companies that include Antiquorum, Andy Castillo Art, RSP Media, Mia Sorelli Jewelry Design, the International Gemological Institute and the Jewelers Resource Bureau.

Tickets are available for $95 per person and include food and drinks. Buses will run from the Javits Center beginning at 6 p.m. to bring attendees to the event. Join us as we celebrate New York and help children in need.
