Press Release: A highly selective group of 12 Antwerp diamond companies participated in a business-to-business (B2B) trade event that was organized by Antwerp Comes To You First (ACTYF) in three major Asian diamond consuming markets.

In Indonesia's  capital of Jakarta, ACTYF organized a cocktail reception for Belgian participants and Indonesian diamond and jewelry traders -- members of the Indonesian jewelry association, APEPI -- at the Belgian Embassy on May 10, followed by a B2B meeting and IGI seminar on synthetic diamonds and a visit to the Indonesian jewelry show on May 11.

On May 14, the entire group of Antwerp participants (IGI, Vets Alphi Diamonds Mfg., Muller & Sons, Rubin & Zonen, Gumuchdjian, Antex International, Lustig Brothers, SDE Group, Supergems, My Dear Diamonds, Diamant Impex and Rosy Blue) moved to the newly opened Grand Hyatt Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A B2B meeting and IGI seminar attracted over 70 members of the Federation of Goldsmiths and Jewellers Associations of Malaysia who were also invited  to a high tea at the Belgian Ambassador’s residence in the city.

The last stop on this Asian tour was Singapore on May 16. At the exclusive St. Regis hotel, the Antwerp B2B event and IGI seminar attracted  around 65 of the most important members of the Singapore Diamond Exchange  and the Singapore Jewellers Association.

The success of this B2B event, which was attended by 150 of the most important members of the national diamond and jewelry associations of Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, can be evident through  numerous new business relationships that were created on the spot.

ACTYF, the organizer of these events, is planning new  initiatives in Asia as well as in the U.S.  Participation is open to all diamond companies.
