RAPAPORT... The Alliance of Unionized Construction Workers of Quebec announced a strike action in Canada, which  covers all unionized construction workers in Quebec, and has resulted in a limited interruption of Stornoway Diamond's construction of the Renard mine road. Stornoway has been developing a 97 kilometer segment of roadway to gain all-year access to the Renard diamond project.

According to Stornoway, the mining company does not anticipate a material impact on the overall development schedule or on the budget for the Renard mine road.

Renard is located approximately 250 kilometers north of the Cree community of Mistissini and 350 kilometers north of Chibougamau in the James Bay region of north-central Quebec. Pre-production capital costs stand at an estimated $752 million.
