RAPAPORT... Luxury jeweler Mouawad launched its new online customer service feature, the Mouawad Certificate of Authenticity (COA), which can be accessed anytime by anyone who owns Mouawad jewelry. The COA confirms the origin and full details of every piece of jewelry.

"We wanted to provide our customers around the world with this new and innovative service, so they can verify the authenticity of their Mouawad pieces wherever they are, whenever they choose," said Fred Mouawad, head of the Mouawad diamond division. "The Mouawad Certificate of Authenticity online is another important milestone in the history of our family business, which, since 1890, has built its reputation on quality, excellence and exceptional service."

Using the service, customers enter the item's reference number, which is available on their receipt or, in some cases, on the piece itself.  Once accessed through the online platform, the COA immediately appears on screen.  Certification details are accompanied by a picture and description of the item, details of the collection the piece comes from, as well as authentication of the gemstones and precious materials used (i.e., type of stone, metals and carat weight).

Pascal Mouawad, the head of the Mouawad retail division, said, "Since taking the helm at Mouawad, we have been committed to developing and harnessing leading industry technologies that benefit our clientele. The Mouawad Certificate of Authenticity allows our patrons to verify any pieces they own with just one click, giving them the reassurance and guarantee that they are indeed handcrafted by Mouawad."
