RAPAPORT... The Diamond Empowerment Fund (DEF) unveiled the winners of the third annual Good Awards this past evening as Forevermark, JCK and Fred Meyer Jewelers. The formal ceremony is slated for January 9, 2014 at the Empire Penthouse Lounge in New York City.

"The Diamond Empowerment Fund is very pleased to honor the exemplary achievements of these great companies," said Phyllis Bergman, DEF's board president and CEO of Mercury Ring.

The Good Awards began in 2012 to recognize outstanding leadership in the diamond and jewelry industry for good corporate citizenship, sustainability, and promoting opportunity in Africa. The DEF is a New York-based non-profit organization that seeks to fund education initiatives in African diamond-producing countries.
