RAPAPORT... Jared The Galleria of Jewelry will host jewelry designer Neil Lane at a special event at a Houston, Texas store on August 10. Guests will be able to meet Lane and preview his latest collections as well as the couture pieces that have found their way onto red carpet events. The first 50 guests will receive a free gift and all attendees can enter a contest for a chance to win Neil Lane jewelry. "I am so excited for this event and the opportunity to spend time with Jared's guests," said Lane. "I draw so much inspiration and energy from meeting people who appreciate my work and Houston is such a wonderful, diverse city. From the architecture to sports to arts and theater, I love all that the city has to offer." The special event runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jared store that is located at 9829 Katy Freeway in Memorial City. Lane is the official engagement ring designer for ABC's television series ''The Bachelor'' and ''The Bachelorette.''
