RAPAPORT... JewelleryNetAsia will host a seminar "Success in Jewellery eCommerce," during the upcoming September Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair 2013. Organizers expect to address ways in which attendees can grow online retail sales, begin an online pearl business and learn how to improve the online business model.

"The last seminar on ecommerce was met with overwhelming interest -- the room was bursting at the seams. For many attendees, the key issues are how to attract and retain online buyers and also how to tie in with social media properly. With the leaders behind Leibish & Co. and Pearlparadise.com, we have again two outstanding speakers. Also we are very lucky to have an opening presentation by Mark Smelzer, who is publishing JCKOnline," said Jerome Hainz, the manager of ebusiness at UBM Asia.

Hainz will monitor panelists Jeremy Shepherd, the founder of the  Pearlparadise.com, which reported sales of $20 million, and Itzik Polnauer, the director of ecommerce for Leibish & Co., the parent of  Fancydiamonds.net.

The seminar will take place from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on September 16 in Room S226 of the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Center. Admission is $20 (HKD 150) and seating will be limited so organizers urge attendees to register early:
