Directors of Hari Krishna Exports Donate $2M for Hospital Project

 Press Release: The shareholders of Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. have pledged about $2.4 million (Rs 15 crore) for a hospital project in Surat, Gujarat. The lion’s share of the contribution  comes from Savjibhai Dholakiya, the chairman of the company. On the occasion of the project's ground breaking ceremony, Shri Savjibhai said he was indeed happy to participate in the project that will bring much needed help to the people of Gujarat.

The Chief Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, performed the ground-breaking of proposed “Kiran Hospital” in Katargam area of Surat. The 13-floor hospital will have a helipad and its own air ambulance. The hospital will also have a health insurance scheme with an INR 1,723 premium, about $27, which will avail treatment worth INR 100,000, about $1,580, for a husband, wife and their two children. It will serve people belonging to all communities. The hospital will be constructed at a cost of $78 million (Rs 500 crore). It will be possibly the biggest hospital of its kind and $47 million (Rs 300 crore) has already been collected. The hospital will be ready for inauguration in two years.
