RAPAPORT... Sarin Technologies Ltd. launched a new version of its polished diamond quality assurance and polishing process control software, the Instructor 3.0.
The new version has been developed to improve the accuracy of polished diamond modeling, particularly for fancy-shaped diamonds, as well as  the tools provided for in-process polishing decisions. The software runs on many of Sarin’s rough and polished diamond modeling platforms from the DiaExpert and DiaMension families, including the  DiaMension HD and DiaScan S+ systems.

Instructor 3.0 offers modeling improvements through the implementation of new algorithms, intended to facilitate  much higher overall modeling accuracy. The software also improves upon in-process polishing control for the purpose of planning a polished diamond to a specific cut grade, comparing alternatives and appraising potential recut options. The new user interface incorporates more one-click functionality, shortcuts and assistance indicators, such as built-in hearts and arrows display and evaluation aid.

“We are proud of being able to offer the market this significantly upgraded software. When used on the revolutionary Axiom platform, to be launched later this year, we will offer the industry not just another evolution in the diamond’s modeling, but a totally new advanced level of technology, which will be a complete departure from the common processes in use for the past twenty years,” said Uzi Levami, Sarin’s CEO. “We believe that Sarin’s customers will significantly benefit from the new features we are already introducing in the Instructor 3.0, and the process will be able to reach truly optimal quality and value when we subsequently launch the new Axiom hardware.”
