Press Release:  The Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) will once again hold a U.S. & International Diamond Week in Israel, this time during the second week of April. The event, to be held April 6 to 10, will follow the International Jewellery Sourcing Fair in Freiburg, Germany and the BaselWorld fair in Basel, Switzerland. And before that, in March, the IDE will be holding its first International Rough Diamond Week.

As with the two previous editions of this unique diamond buying platform, the U.S. & International Diamond Week will feature more than $1 billion of polished diamonds on the IDE trading floor, displayed by hundreds of participating Israeli diamond manufacturing and trading firms. Registered buyers from abroad will again be offered heavily discounted room rates at the event's designated venue hotels and the Diamond Dealers Club of New York will bring a large delegation of members.

Moti Fluk, the chairman of the event's organizing committee, said that the previous editions of the U.S. & International Diamond Week in Israel had proven not only to be good diamond marketing events, but also top rated networking opportunities. "The excitement of having close to 3,000 people on the trading floor simultaneously is infectious, as these diamantaires are arguing amicably, buying, conferring, discussing and selling diamonds. I am sure this edition of the U.S. & International Diamond Week will once again be delivering the goods for all who participate in it," Fluk said.

IDE's president, Shmuel Schnitzer, emphasized the importance of the event's operational framework as well as its special character "By bringing IDE members back to the trading floor, we're creating a level playing field for all participants. No matter if you are the owner of a multinational diamond firm or a single operator, all IDE members are allocated the same space at the tables on the floor. This, in my view, offers the same measure of added value to the participating members. Of course, the fact that many hundreds of buyers are visiting our bourse for the U.S. & International Diamond Week constitutes important added value to our entire diamond business community," Schnitzer said.

A registration module will come online shortly, so save the date.
