RAPAPORT... Firestone Diamonds reported that its former CEO, Tim Wilkes, will step down from the board on February 15, 2014 to pursue other interests.

Wilkes's departure follows the successful transition of Stuart Brown into the role of CEO. Wilkes formerly served as CEO from March 2011 until Brown assumed the role in December 2013.

Wilkes served over nine years at the company and played a major role in the acquisition and advancement of Firestone's flagship Liqhobong mine. Since then, he has served as the company's executive director. He will continue to advise the company on an ad hoc consultancy basis, Firestone said.
