Press Release: Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd., recently organized its annual sports meet in Surat. This was part of the company’s employee professional and personal development program. With more than 6,000 employees working at different Hari Krishna Exports units in Mumbai and Surat, the annual sports meet brings Hari Krishna Group family together in an effort to build an overall culture of commitment and teamwork.
It is worth noting that Hari Krishna addresses its diamond workers, engaged in manufacturing and planning activity, as diamond artists and diamond engineers -- so called diamond artists because they have a keen eye for design, creativity and possess appropriate technical ability to materialize their ideas; and diamond engineers because they demonstrate strong analytical and planning skills.
The event saw participation of more than 400 employees, who were divided into 16 different teams from Hari Krishna Exports' factories and offices at Campus, Hub, Complex, HK-Kisna, Bambawadi, Mumbai, KISNA Jewelery, Surat and H. K. Designs - SEEPZ. It was the Campus Artists team that emerged victorious in all finals. There were support teams in place for various functions such as stage announcements, food and beverage, score keeping, ground display and decoration, guest services, transportation, hardware team, computer operators, camera crew, ground management team, uniform coordinators and designing team.
Professional umpires, commentators, referees and a disc jockey added color to the event, which was further enhanced by audio-visual effects. The audience was comprised of workers and their families, all of whom thoroughly enjoyed the show and cheered along.
The entire senior management team, including Savji Dholakia, the chairman, and Ghanshyam Dholakia, the managing director, graced the occasion and encouraged and cheered on the players.
“We at Hari Krishna believe that our strength is in numbers, together we can achieve more! The sports meet, which is an annual feature in our company, plays a vital role in fostering the need for productive competitiveness, interpersonal relationships and the importance of leadership and teamwork among employees, both on the field and off the field. The successful teams were felicitated with cash rewards and trophies,” Dholakia said. Rapaport News is not responsible for, and does not endorse, the content of any third-party press release.
