Luxeford to Hold Sale of Fine Jewels in May

Press Release: Edmond Chan, the head of jewelry Asia at Luxeford, issued the following notice for the company's upcoming fine jewels sale.  This season sees a natural interest for fine colored gemstone pieces and diamonds alike. With stylishness, refinement and versatility in mind, we have gathered an array of vibrant and fascinating pieces that evoke the senses.

One item is a captivating necklace, suspending a 34.46-carat, VS2, modified emerald-cut fancy intense yellow diamond, accentuated by a total of 67.30 carats of diamonds. The necklace features a brilliant-cut diamond border with a heart-shaped diamond bail within a diamond-set surround, while the necklace is set to the front in garland design with pear-shaped and brilliant-cut diamonds, extending to a graduated diamond-set back. The necklace has a pre-sale estimate of $1.8 million (HKD 14 million).

A pair of pear-shaped Colombian emerald, weighing 19.72 carats and 20.18 carats, enhanced by brilliant-cut diamond surrounds and links joined to the surmounts has a presale value of $1 million (HKD 8 million).

A 5.66-carat unheated Kashmir sapphire ring flanked by two 1.51 carat diamonds, is estimated to fetch up to $283,750 (HKD 2.2 million).

Another key piece is a pair of Art Deco natural pearl and diamond ear pendants with each bezel-set old circular-cut diamond surmount, articulated links and cap suspending a drop-shaped slightly cream pearl, has an estimated value of $180,568 (HKD 1.4 million).

A set of ruby and diamond necklace and ear pendants, set with a total of 208.60 carats of unheated Mozambique pigeon-blood rubies, is estimated to fetch $123,818 (HKD 960,000).

Other jewels include a very fine necklace comprised of 574 vari-toned natural pearls, estimated at $257,954 (HKD 2 million) and a fancy vivid yellow, fancy blue-gray and fancy orangy pink diamond ring with a presale estimate of $87,704 (HKD 680,000). A large 12.26-carat unheated tsavorite garnet and diamond ring, is estimated at $61,909 (HKD 480,000) and a 19.30-carat unheated ceylon bright cornflower blue sapphire and diamond ring is estimated at $25,795 (HKD 200,000).

A 5.09-carat unheated padparadscha, colored sapphire and diamond ring, is estimated to fetch $15,477 (HKD 120,000), while a violet jadeite and diamond ring of vivid lavender color, accentuated by a pavé-set diamond rim to the bombé half-hoop, has a pre-auction estimate of $12,897 (HKD 100,000).

Further items of interest are a 5.53-carat F, VVS diamond ring, a 47.80-carat cat’s eye chrysoberyl ring and diamond ring, 20.96-carat black opal and diamond ring, a 25.89-carat unheated Mozambique paraiba tourmaline and diamond pendant necklace and a Mikimoto conch pearl and diamond ring.
