Press Release: For the very first time in the history of the diamond industry, the Antwerpsche Diamantkring (Kring) held a “Rough Diamond Day” on Thursday, November 6, 2014.

The Kring --  the world’s leading rough diamond bourse -- opened its doors to exhibitors who were members of the four diamond bourses in Antwerp and to buyers who were  members of all World Federation of Diamond Bourses affiliates and their clients.

The exchange hall was active and full as hundreds upon hundreds queuing to enter.  The trading was positive, with the opportunity for sellers to dramatically increase their business and  buyers being able to use the opportunity to make contact with new suppliers.

The Kring was  oversubscribed with exhibitors, by far, and there was only positive and complimentary feedback from all those present. The question often asked,  “When is the next event?”

During an interview with Freddy Inzlicht, the president, he mentioned that the next project will take place on an international level, where agreements have already been made with the diamond bourses in Israel, Mumbai and New York.
