RAPAPORT...   Swiss watchmaker Tissot  opened the doors for business at a new boutique in New York City, located at 45 Wall Street, marking the brand's second location in Manhattan.

“The new Tissot boutique is the perfect addition to the world's principal financial center, which is home to many top shopping experiences in Manhattan,” said François Thiébaud, Tissot's president. “After seeing booming success from the first U.S. Tissot boutique on Fifth Avenue, which we opened a few months ago on August 5th, we are proud to further establish our New York presence with this beautiful new boutique which is sure to excite both local New Yorkers and visiting guests alike.”tissot

The Tissot boutique features a historical exhibition with vintage Tissot timepieces, including an 18-karat yellow gold watch from 1937, Tissot Electronic Seastar PR 516 GL from 1968, Tissot T12 from 1970 and Tissot Bag Watch from 2003.

In addition, Tissot created a video  story of its 161-year history to play in the store, as well as a clip that highlights the new T-Touch Expert Solar watch.  An on premises Swatch Group specialist will reside in the “Watchmakers Corner” to offer sizing and repair services for customers, and the boutique will pay homage to Tissot’s presence as official timekeeper of numerous sports with dynamic visuals of athlete brand ambassadors, audiovisual elements and by hosting occasional  promotional events.
