Press Release: Shree Ramkrishna (SRK) Exports Pvt. Ltd. initiated its first Cyber Monday concept in diamond industry as part of a promise to remain committed to ecommerce and also appealed to its customers to accept this sustainable business model. SRK, always being the pioneer in the industry when it comes to technology innovation and implementation, decided to make its customers aware of making diamond purchases online.
“We initiated online selling of diamonds in 2008. Today with customers support and trust, our online business activity is growing exponentially. In fact, our customers are our consultants for our website and application development, so in order to thank them we celebrated Cyber Monday. I believe this will encourage those customers who are currently not associated with dot-com buying,” said SRK's managing director, Rahul Dholakia.
On account of the Cyber Monday celebration, which lasted for 36 hours, SRK increased its online business activity six times faster than its annual average, and SRK’s ecommerce platforms recorded traffic of three times greater than average. SRK's online business is growing at the rate of more than 60 percent year on year.
Recently, SRK launched a newer version of its iPad app and is now in the process of updating smartphone apps for iPhone and android. The initiative will encourage more digitally savvy customers in the diamond Industry to head online for their business requirements and save time, money and resources without compromising any information to make a rational diamond buying decision. About Cyber Monday Cyber Monday, the Monday following Thanksgiving in the U.S., was created as a way to encourage customers to shop without having to visit brick-and-mortar stores. The term was first used within the ecommerce community and is often celebrated as the biggest U.S. online shopping day of the year.
