Press Release:  Today SLANE, the 18-year-old jewelry company that was founded by sisters Landon Slane and Heath Slane, announced plans to discontinue its wholesale operations while the brand considers a new direction.  SLANE will begin to thoughtfully sell down its inventory. The company will continue to take production orders until January 30, 2015 and sell active inventory but will not open additional wholesale accounts.  Its ecommerce site, www.slane.com, will remain live.

SLANE will continue to develop collaborations with partners such as Forevermark. SLANE most recently worked with Forevermark to create a unique pair of 22.04-carat diamond earrings worn by Kate Hudson at 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards this past Sunday evening.

Reflecting the best of design from the U.S.,  SLANE is most widely recognized for its hybrid of modern and classic sterling-silver and 18-karat gold jewelry designs. The brand began in 1997 as a shared vision by Landon and Heath  to create a line of handcrafted and beautifully designed sterling-silver jewelry that women would keep forever and hand down to their daughters. Beloved by the media and celebrities alike, quality and craftsmanship are at the core of the SLANE philosophy.
