Rajesh Exports' 3Q Sales +148%, Profit +87%

RAPAPORT... Rajesh Exports Ltd. reported that group revenue jumped 148 percent year on year to $2 billion (INR 124.3 billion)  in the third quarter that ended on December 31. Expenses surged 151 percent to $1.96 billion (INR 121.7 billion).  Profit rose 87 percent to $27.5 million (INR 1.7 billion).  Included in the group's totals,  standalone revenue rose 92 percent to $1.55 billion (INR 96.4 billion). However, profit fell 15 percent to $12.6 million (INR 781 million). 

Rajesh Mehta, the chairman of Rajesh Exports, said, “I am pleased to announce the results for the quarter ended December 31, 2014. The quarter was a record-breaking quarter for the company, both on the revenue and profit front. The company has posted the highest quarterly revenue this quarter and also the highest quarterly net profit this quarter; these numbers bear  testament to the product and the administrative strength of the company. I am confident that the company will continue to grow rapidly in the coming quarters.”

Company revenue rose 7 percent year on year to $5 billion (INR 313 billion) for the first nine months of its fiscal year. Profit jumped 25 percent to $72 million (INR 4.5 billion).
