CIBJO's 2015 Conference to Focus on Grading Reports, Standards

RAPAPORT... CIBJO's 2015 conference to be held in Salvador, Brazil on May 6 will focus on standards and practices used by grading laboratories in the industry and the quality of grading reports. Specifically, the conference will address diverging standards among grading reports.
Participants at the conference will also discuss CIBJO's recommendation to create an international committee of between 12 to 14 gemological laboratory representatives to discuss methods that will result in more consistent and reliable laboratory reports. The proposed committee would consist of four to six permanent members, with the balance rotating in a well defined manner.
Discussions will also address benchmarks for laboratories and their system of dispute resolution.
