RAPAPORT... Maui Divers Jewelry,a retail jewelry chain in Hawaii, appointed luxury retail executive David Charles as its president and CEO last week.
Charles succeeded Cliff Slater, a co-founder of the 34-store chain who had returned from retirement in 2014 to lead the company on an interim basis. Charles previously worked for the DFS Group, a Hong-Kong based travel luxury retailer, overseeing that company's operations in Hawaii, Guam and Saipan.
“I’m proud of what this organization has accomplished during a challenging economic period for luxury goods sales”, said Slater in a statement. "David has the management experience, passion and innovative thinking to move this company forward."
