Birmingham Assay and London Diamond Bourse Pair on Testing Venture

RAPAPORT... AnchorCert Gem Lab, part of Assay Office Birmingham (AOB), and the London Diamond Bourse (LDB) are partnering to provide bourse members with diamond and gemstone testing and reports, AOB announced today by email.
The venture will provide LDB members, trading from the Bourse floor in Hatton Garden, with dedicated, secure delivery of diamonds and gemstones for grading to the lab, based at AOB’s new Birmingham facility.
London Diamond Bourse Chief Operating Officer Victoria McKay said: “This new partnership is a natural marriage as far as the LDB Board was concerned. Integrity is vital to both businesses and we believe that AOB’s AnchorCert Gem Lab upholds superior expertise, accuracy and knowledge.
She said the added value for bourse members is the lab’s U.K. location which will reduce lead times for gemstone analysis and grading.
