RAPAPORT... The Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) said it will hold its second polished diamond fair on October 28 after deciding to make the event into a regular fixture on the bourse calendar.

In July, some 60 Israeli diamond companies took part in a first of its kind internal fair in the trading hall aimed at increasing trading in polished goods between members.

IDE vice president and organizing committee chairman Ben-Zion Shasu said the inaugural fair on July 15 “was widely hailed as a success,” persuading the bourse's management that the event should be a permanent calendar item, according to statement posted on its website October 14.
