India’s PC Jeweller 2Q Revenue +113%, Profit +18%

RAPAPORT... New Delhi-based group PC Jeweller reported a 113 percent surge in second-quarter sales to $251.2 million (INR 16.7 billion).

Net profit in the three months that ended September 30 rose to $14 million, an 18 percent jump from a year ago, the Indian jewelry retailer said in a statement.

Exports soared 98 percent to $56.6 million and domestic sales added 30 percent at $194.6 million. Profit on exports surged 25 percent to $4 million and on domestic business grew 4 percent to $24.5 million, the statement said.

In the six months ending September 2015, the company posted a 27 percent revenue increase to $478.7 million. Net profit advanced 18 percent to $26.4 million.
