Update: Cartier, Forevermark, Tiffany Holiday Videos Lure Millions of Viewers

RAPAPORT... Holiday-season commercials by Cartier, Forevermark US and
Tiffany & Co. have received widespread attention on the internet, picking
up millions of YouTube views in recent weeks.
The 90-second clip from Cartier features the Marilyn Monroe classic Diamonds Are a
Girl’s Best Friend, re-arranged
by British artist Jarvis Cocker. At the time of writing, it has been viewed more
than 3,360,000 times since it was posted on the luxury group’s official YouTube
page less than two weeks ago, on November 23. It stars U.K. model and musician
Karen Elson, who is seen gallivanting around Paris, wearing items from
Cartier’s jewelry collection..
Forevermark US’s The One has been viewed more than 1,745, 000
times to date, around a month after the video’s release. It features the story
of a diamond that is one of the very few selected from the mine to be worthy of
being given by a man to his lady love.
Tiffany & Co. posted a version of its holiday
video on the company’s official YouTube page December 2 and has received 2,345,000
views in the four days since. The short film incorporates the tag line “there
are gifts you can’t wait to give” as it follows a man’s efforts to reach his
beloved through New York’s traffic and snow.
