Kay Boosts Holiday Campaign with Online Memory Game

RAPAPORT... Kay Jewelers has introduced an online memory game with a jewelry prize every day as the U.S. retailer steps up its holiday-season marketing campaign.

Visitors to Kay’s social media channels will be encouraged to take part in an interactive holiday-themed card-matching game, “Merry Match Sweepstakes,” through www.KayMerryMatch.com for a chance to win a prize from the company’s featured daily collection. The game involves clicking on hidden photos of jewelry pieces to reveal them. They are then concealed until the player clicks on two matching photos in succession, forcing the visitor to memorize where each one is in order to make a pair.

One winner will be selected each day and receive a piece of jewelry from a range of brands. Participants can also share a link to the game on Facebook and Twitter to earn a bonus entry for each friend who enters using the link they post.

The game, running until December 20, 2015, is the second such promotion by the jewelry retailer this quarter and follows an earlier campaign in November that let visitors to its social media pages plan their perfect marriage proposal using an online questionnaire. Participants were entered into a prize draw with a chance of winning a $100 Kay gift voucher.
