RAPAPORT... Diamond technology company OGI Systems Group has opened a service center in Belgium as part of a plan to expand its business in Europe.

The new offering features the company’s DiaPix technology, which is used to capture high-definition images and videos, according to a statement by the Israeli firm December 16. The images and videos can be enhanced with graphic tools to display the best possible stone on channels such as a seller’s website or trade platforms.

The center will also feature OGI’s GemScribe, an automatic inscription system for diamond and gemstones. The technology enables diamond identification and tracking, as well as personalizing gems for the purpose of giving as gifts.
