Kennady Diamonds Announces 3.55-ct Sample Grade from Kelvin North

Diamonds announced an “exceptional” sample grade of 3.55 carats per tonne for
diamonds of commercial size that were recovered from its Kelvin North Lobe
project in Canada. The three largest diamonds found were 0.67-carats, 0.23
carats and 0.15 carats.
The Geoanalytical Laboratories
Diamond Services of the Saskatchewan Research Council processed the 0.93 tonne
sample, according to a Kennady statement December 17.
So
far in 2015, Kennady has processed 14.7 tonnes of core samples from the North
Lobe, returning an average sample grade of 2.83 carats per tonne. The group
intends to recover a bulk sample of around 500 tonnes in February or March
2016, with results expected in the middle of the year. The sample is expected
to deliver more than 1,200 carats to support revenue modeling for the Kelvin
kimberlite.
The company had announced a grade of 3.4
carats per tonne from another sample taken from the North Lobe earlier this
month.
