RAPAPORT... Panama’s World Jewelry & Diamond Hub appointed veteran diamantaire Edi Faltz as executive vice-president, replacing Joseph Kuzi, who is standing down following a two-year stint.

Faltz is also chairman of the hub’s membership and banking committees, as well as owner and chief executive officer of the Diamond Buying Office and the Faltz Diamond & Jewelry Group in Ramat Gan, Israel.

Apart from serving as an external adviser to the Israeli branches of Credit Suisse Bank and UBS Bank, Faltz (pictured) headed the development of new technologies that created high-definition images and videos of diamonds and jewelry, the hub said.

“Not only are we gaining an individual with an intimate understanding of the worlds of diamond, jewelry and finance, but also one that has been committed to the establishment of the World Jewelry Hub in Panama," said Mahesh Khemlani, president of the hub.
