Exports Drive PC Jeweller’s Sales Spike

RAPAPORT... Sales and profit increased at Indian retailer PC Jeweller in
the past fiscal year as the company recorded a sharp rise in foreign sales.
Group revenue, including from subsidiaries, jumped 17% to
$1.33 billion (INR 85.77 billion) during the 12 months that ended March 31, the
jeweler reported last week. Export sales leapt 42% to $476.1 million (INR 30.68
billion), with domestic revenue growing 5% to $839.7 million (INR 54.12
billion).
Profit increased 6% to $65.3 million (INR 4.21 billion) as
costs dropped 18% to $1.24 billion (INR 80.23 billion).
PC Jeweller operates 78 retail showrooms across 61 cities in
India.
