RAPAPORT... Seven retailers have joined the World Diamond Mark (WDM) roster of authorized diamond dealers, enabling them to carry the scheme’s symbol while committing to its code of practices.

The new members of the WDM, the marketing effort of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB), are from Belgium, Canada, Italy and Russia. One of the WDM’s requirements is that authorized dealers do not stock synthetics in the same store as natural diamonds.

The move comes after the WDM launched its marketing campaign, “Part of You,” which tells human stories about people who wear diamonds.

“We are honored and very pleased to welcome these exclusive high-street jewelers joining the ranks of our World Diamond Mark authorized diamond dealers,” said Alex Popov, chairman of the WDM (pictured). “We look forward to promoting these members through our ‘Part of You’ campaign and to drive consumer traffic to them.”

The new WDM authorized diamond dealers are:

Diamani, Antwerp, Belgium
Diamond Blue, Antwerp, Belgium
Oriane Jewelry, Antwerp, Belgium
Rudiam Handmade Jewels, Antwerp, Belgium
Laferrière & Brixi of St-Lambert, Quebec, Canada
Luca 1959 Alta Gioielleria, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy
Diamond Atelier RINGO, Yekaterinburg, Russia
