Phillips Expands New York Jewelry Team

RAPAPORT... Phillips has named Eva Violante as senior specialist and
vice president of its jewelry division in the Americas.
Violante (pictured) was previously the director of fine
jewelry in New York for Heritage Auctions. She will work with new and existing
clients of Phillips on consignments, creating cross-marketing opportunities
within the company, and networking with collectors, dealers and influencers in
the jewelry market, the auction house said last week.
Violante will report to Susan Abeles, Phillips’s senior vice
president, head of jewelry for the Americas and senior international
specialist.
“It’s the right time to expand our department, and I am
confident Eva will help us create an innovative and contemporary jewelry
offering that will appeal to the increasing number of collectors of art,
watches and design,” Abeles said. “Eva’s creativity, dynamism and experience
will help us grow in this important category and present our clients with a
well-rounded offering of exceptional jewels.”
Phillips has also appointed Anne Mock as associate jewelry
specialist, it said. She previously worked at Harry Winston. Violante and Mock
will be based in the New York office.
