The Boston Jewelers Club (BJC) has elected Ashley Cimini Singh to a two-year term as president.

Singh, who is president of GSM Metals, will succeed Rick Romano, head of Charles Frederick Jewelers, the BJC said Tuesday. The club announced the decision during its annual meeting on November 18.

She has served on the BJC board for six years, the last two as vice president, the BJC noted.

Meanwhile, Matt Khatib, CEO of M.K. Benatti Jewelers, was selected as vice president of the organization.

Founded in 1888, the BJC is a social group open to all members of the jewelry trade.
