Former Richline chief Dennis Ulrich has opened an exclusive coworking site and membership network designed to help Italian luxury businesses gain access to the US market.

Ulrich created the project, called Piazza Italia “Stronger Together,” in partnership with Alberto Milani, president of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce. The space will be located in New York City, the company said last week.

“Piazza Italia is an innovative, comfortable and welcoming collective office and network concept that will facilitate the ability of Italian companies to grow both their businesses and brand awareness in North America,” Ulrich explained.

The venture, aimed primarily at the jewelry, fashion, accessories and furniture markets, will consist of three divisions. The first is a network of multiple offices, workstations, meeting rooms and lounge areas, which will provide members with a place to conduct business with clients. The initiative will also offer several services, including business-planning strategy, marketing, public relations, and merchandising guidance. Finally, Piazza Italia will host various events, such as seminars and training and educational forums, and special events that promote Italian brands to the trade and consumers, using both physical and virtual showrooms.

Additionally, Piazza Italia will feature pop-up Italian shopping experiences that coincide with major holidays, the company noted.

“Both trade and consumers are looking for more end-to-end journeys across products and services, and Piazza Italia rapidly reinvented the ‘next normal’ value proposition,” Milani said. “We will be the frontline research center for innovative events and customer co-creations to unlock the full potential of the Italian experience.”
