(Rapaport… February 23, 2004) The Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) informed all diamantaires in the Israel Diamond Bourse on February 22, 2004, that trading in synthetic diamonds on the bourse premises is strictly forbidden. If the rule is violated, guilty parties will have to face the IDE disciplinary committee. The bourse is also enforcing a rule adopted by the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and leading laboratories that all High Pressure-High-Temperature treated diamonds must be fully disclosed and be identifiable by a laser inscription.
